Panasoca trash Diamond again

Losing 5-1 at the Ho Sports Stadium in a friendly match with Pan Africa Soccer Academy on Wednesday, September 20 was not expected from division 3 side, Lokoe Diamond Fc.

The game, which was a final preparatory match for Panasoca ahead of their Sub Middle league on Friday recorded 1 goal late in the first half from left back Wabolo Ibrahim.

Diamond who lost 5-2 in their first friendly, had a better first half as they denied Panasoca from scoring.

However, some tactical changes made by Coach Asamoah Dzifa brought more goals in the second half. Robert Ashie headed home from a cross 2 minutes into the half. He got a brace for the day after placing the ball to the far left of the goalkeeper when a pass from Reginald Commodore found him onside. Robert failed to get a hat trick as his long curly ball missed the pole by inches after dribbling the goalkeeper.

Samuel Jato then pulled one back after he found himself unmarked, tapping in a free kick which Goalkeeper Andrews Quaye failed to make a first time catch in the 74’.

Panasoca were undone, as Humble Tutu finally gets a goal in the 82’, after missing several scoring opportunities, with assist from Edem Kwao. 5 minutes away from Full time, Reginald Commodore sealed the game with a long curly shot.

Head Coach Asamoah Dzifa sees the friendly as very important.

“The friendly is very important to us as we begin the Sub middle league on Friday. Despite the fact that we have scored 5, doesn’t mean our opponents are weak or not strong. I purposely used this friendly to see how my tactics going into the Middle league will look like. I worked perfectly but the unproductivity upfront was not that satisfying. In all, it was a good exercise for us.”

Panasoca opens her Sub Middle league campaign on Friday, September 22 with Area 51 Fc at 1pm at the Ho Sports Stadium. They will continue with Tsame Young Stars the next day at 3pm and the wrap it all up with a tie against Homestars on Sunday at 3pm.

Winner of the Sub middle league goes to Middle League to face reps from Southern A&B and Northern zone.
