Panasoca completes group phase with away success

Pan Africa Soccer Academy made an explicit away win against Kodzobi Golden Warriors at the Kodzobi L/A School Park to wrap up the group B phase of the Volta regional division 2 league.

Panasoca who beat their nemesis 2-0 at the Ho Sports Stadium to begin the season won by 3-1.

Reginald Commodore scored his first goal for the season with a wonderful right foot drive into the right corner of the post after controlling a cross from Roland Grippman on the stroke of Half time. The goal silenced the home fans as Panasoca has wasted numerous chances, notably 2 clear ones from Humble Tutu.

Head Coach, Asamoah Dzifa who wasn’t happy with his boys’ finishing had a pep talk with them which resulted in a quick second goal, 40 seconds into the second half. Julius Addai headed home a corner which was taken by Roland Grippman, to make it 2-0.

2 minutes later, Reginald got his second goal of the day after finding himself onside and latching unto a long pass from Samuel Ennin.

Michael Degamakpor went in to Paul Adjei, while Philip Yakah replaced Julius Addai who got a knock and couldn’t continue the game in the 60’.

Golden Warriors were undone as they pushed for a consolation in the 61’. Mawuli Gbedema had the better of the 50/50 ball in the penalty area after a crash with Andrews Quaye. Gbedema took his time and touched the ball into the net, breaking Andrews Quaye’s clean sheet since the league begun.

Andrews Quaye, who made two fantastic saves, a one on one situation and a long shot, made another significant save in the 68’ and had to be substituted as he picked up a knock during his clash with Mawuli.

Richmond Dorkenu came on and kept his confidence in the post and pushed his men forward for another goal to thicken the cushioning but Reginald’s effort, when he was picked alone by Michael’s cross found the tips of the goalkeeper of Golden Warriors.

Referee, Selase Banor brought the game to an end after playing 10 minutes of added on time due to the many stoppages and temporary hold ups.

Head Coach, Asamoah Dzifa tells although he wasn’t impressed much, he’s glad they’ve ended the first phase on a good note.

“I wasn’t too happy with our performance because I expect them to utilize every chance they create. We are heading towards Sub middle league and this won’t be tolerated. Nevertheless, we have finished the group stages well. We will continue preparation for the next stage.”

Panasoca finished top of group B with 20 points, 4 ahead of Area 51, who also won 3-1 against Diamond Stars Fc at the Barracks Park.

Panasoca has ended the group stages, scoring 13 goals, conceding 2 and keeping 6 clean sheets.

Stephen Essaw is the highest Goal scorer in the team, with 5 goals in 6 games.
