Pan Africa Soccer Academy secured another emphatic victory against Avedzi Utd at the Ho Sports Stadium in their match day 6 of the ongoing regional division 2 league.

The match which was played on Monday, August 21 became the second time Panasoca have triumphed over their opponents, having won their last match 1-0 to wrap up the first round of the Central zone group B.

2 second half goals were enough for the Pride, Determination and Excellence boys. After a barren first half which got Coach Asamoah Dzifa worried, the boys had to work extra to put smiles on their coaches and entire technical bench’s face.

The head coach who wasn’t playing his usual tactics had to make some changes, pulling Wesley Asare out for Raymond Grippman in the 52’. Raymond pushed Roland, who was then playing Centre back to the right full back for Edem Kwao to play his usual offensive midfield role.

The resilient Avedzi side now had to be forced to defend deep as pressure mounted on them. 15 minutes later, Humble Tutu was introduced to replace Paul Adjei at the left wing.

Prolific striker Stephen Essaw broke the dead lock with a superb freekick, 22m away, to put the home side ahead in the 70’. He has so far scored 5 goals in 5 games. Samuel Ennin had to go in, with 5 minutes of regulation time to replace Jones Mensah at the right wing.

Another goal came for Panasoca in the 87’ as Edem Kwao scored his first goal of the season with a scissor kick from a corner kick.

Midfield dynamo, Philip Yakah was for the second time adjudged Man of the Match and he tells Panasoca.com, he would want to do better than he did.

“I feel so great to be named as Man of the Match. Individually we are down and not as we played our last game and the friendly this week. So next week we will train harder to face our opponents Area 51 because the first leg we drew here and going away will be a tough match. Our purpose is not to win the league but with our determination, we want to win every match. I want to play better than today to be adjudged Man of the Match again.”

The win means Panasoca still lead the central group B table with 13 points. They are closely followed by Area 51 Fc with 11 points after they also beat Golden Warriors 2-0 at home.

Panasoca will be on Standbye coming weekend and will travel to Ziave to face Area 51 Fc for match week 8.
